The Gibber Earless Dragon relies on camouflage for protection, mimicking the stones of the gibber deserts.
We saw this one only because it moved near our feet after we had been sitting for a while enjoying a cup of coffee.
Whenever we took our eyes off our little friend, finding it again was a challenge. It was still there in the same spot, but very difficult to find amongst the gibber stones. It was necessary to pick on something else more outstanding to locate the position.
